What's the benefit of having a mentor?
In short, having an adult figure that will be a mentee's support system. Having someone who is consistently meeting and pulling out a kid's self worth is essential at the easily influential age.
How long does mentoring last?
Mentees generally are partnered with a mentor from 3 months to a year. Over the course of their participation, they'll receive a customized set of goals that they should meet in order to progress, and graduate. For example, mentors will utilize the wraparound method; attending school, family, and/or case worker meeting's to access the youth's needs.
How often do you meet with kids a week?
The group typically meets 4 days a week, but individual meeting sessions can vary.
How do I sign a youth up for you program?
Youth are currently referred to the program via Sheboygan and Ozaukee County Health and Human Services (Case Workers). Family's can also individually contract with the program for their youth.
